Disability Ministry
We believe every person is made in the image of God and should experience belonging in the church. Volunteers in our disability ministry may serve as a buddy to children or adults during worship or class time. They may provide companionship at church services and events, or help during respite nights by caring for individuals with disabilities so families can rest and recharge.
ESP (Extra Special People)
We believe in building meaningful community for individuals and families experiencing disability through our partnership with ESP and Southside. We encourage volunteers to get involved in serving family dinners, assisting with member events, or creating a welcoming space where individuals and families feel loved and included.
Families 4 Families
We value supporting foster families in our community through our partnership with Families 4 Families. Volunteers may make meals, provide babysitting or date night childcare, or encourage foster parents through practical acts of service. Team members may also prayerfully consider the opportunity to become a foster family themselves.
PACK
P.A.C.K. is a non-profit organization committed to helping meet the basic needs of children in our community. P.A.C.K. provides over 10,000 bags of food monthly to Chatham County public school children. They also work with other charities and government organizations to provide food, clothing, and toiletries to children and families in need.
SOUTHSIDE GROUP OPPORTUNITIES
Packing Food Bags: We pack approximately 300 food bags on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month, from 6:00 – 7:30pm.
We have a group of volunteers that deliver food bags to the classrooms at Juliette Low School, on Friday mornings from 9:30-10:30.
Our church also sponsors a closet in the Foster Care Boutique located in the P.A.C.K. building. We collect clothes for boys and girls, sizes 24 months & 2T.

Thrive Savannah
Thrive Express Savannah offers Women’s Health Care services at Low Cost or No Cost. Services include pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, STI testing and referrals, social services and referrals for housing, medical care, counselling, utility assistance, food and more. During the time the young lady is with them, the staff offers to pray for her and share Jesus with her. Several have already come to know the Lord through this ministry. They are located on Frederick Street across from Planned Parenthood.
